Most women don't lack motivation. They lack a clear, friendly path in. Here's exactly how the first few weeks of TBT look — so you know what to expect, and what's waiting on the other side.
From discovery call to feeling like a regular — here's the whole journey.
A 15-20 minute video call with one of our coaches. We're not interested in "selling" you anything — we want to understand where you're at, what you've tried, what's worked, what hasn't, and what would make this feel like a real win.
By the end you'll know whether TBT is the right fit for you, and you'll have a clear sense of what membership looks like. No pressure either way.
If we're a good fit, we'll have a deeper conversation about what you want. Maybe it's getting your energy back. Maybe it's getting strong enough to keep up with the kids. Maybe it's the first time in years you've wanted to do something just for you.
We talk about injuries, lifestyle, work patterns, sleep, eating. The whole picture. Then we plan around what's realistic for you — not what looks good on a website.
The first time you set foot on the training floor. One-to-one with a coach. We walk you through the movements, get you comfortable with the equipment, and meet you exactly at your level — wherever that is.
By the end of induction you'll know what to expect from your group sessions, you'll have hit some movements that surprise you, and you'll feel something most women don't expect after a workout — not wiped out, just energised.
Three sessions a week. About an hour each. You'll start to recognise faces. People will say hi. The coaches know your goals, your niggles, your name.
This is where it stops being "going to the gym" and starts being part of your week. Most members tell us they actually look forward to their sessions — and the energy carries into everything else.
Here's roughly what changes — and when. Nothing's guaranteed, every body is different, but this is the typical pattern we see.
You'll be a bit sore at first — that's normal. You'll start recognising movements and feeling more confident in the room. Sleep often improves first. Most members are surprised how quickly they look forward to sessions.
Soreness drops off. Movements start to feel natural. You'll notice you're lifting heavier than you started. Energy is steadier across the day. Some members say their mood feels noticeably different by now.
You know the team, the team knows you. Clothes start fitting differently. You'll have favourite exercises (and ones you politely tolerate). Strength gains are real and measurable. You're well past the "trying it out" stage.
You don't need to live in the gym. In fact, we'd rather you didn't. Three good sessions a week is the sweet spot for almost every woman over 30 — enough to build real strength, not so much that life falls apart around it.
Here's the kind of week our members tend to settle into:
